Oh my God, I’m an expectant mother, what activities can I do?

It is not surprising at all to encounter new questions during your new condition. You undeliberately feel that you cannot do some activities anymore, though they seemed to be natural before. You have to change something. But what?

Every change is difficult and involves a little insecurity. Why? Because it’s unknown. Because we don’t know the answers to our new question. And our habits, body, soul and spirit have not adapted to this new circumstance.

It’s the same with activity and sports

Yes, you can do some exercise, but it does matter what kind of activity you choose, and also, when. Basically, in the first four weeks of pregnancy, most future mothers don’t know that they are expecting a baby, so they naturally go on with their usual activities. This happened to me as well. It was only later when I figured out that I felt so bad on the third week that I had to rest all day, as during that week, my body started to send signs. Well, facts are facts, you cannot do everything in the same way anymore.

So, when your pregnancy is already a known fact, it is worth being careful with movements from that on until the twelfth week. It is also important if you have been used to doing exercise, and if yes, to what extent. If you are, you should go on with training in a moderate way, avoid exercises affecting the belly and stronger movements. If you have not done sports actively before, just be careful, maybe you should rather take a rest, relay, walk.

An what exercises can you do? You can learn about it during my Happy Baby Expectation Prenatal Yoga course. It is exactly because of these question that I worked out this program, and because I was full of questions my self during my first pregnancy, just like you.
