Ágnes Csányi and Dr Sándor Kmeth discuss the Covid pandemic on Halas radio.
You can listen to the whole programme here.
Sándor: Since the last broadcast, we have learnt even more about the topic, and we can even correct some of our statements of the previous discussion.
Ágnes: That’s right. Many of our followers have pointed out based on the previous broadcast that it is not useful to lie in bed in case of pneumonia, but I immediately clarified that the main focus is on having a rest.
S: Yes, I couldn’t agree more. However, the symptoms of Covid do not necessarily include pneumonia, as the virus does not attack the lungs in every case but the veins, the capillaries and usually the endothelium throughout the whole body – but we will just come back to this.
Á: Only a few know about you that you are the author of a very significant book about herbs entitled “Herbarium”, and that you have a PhD publication in the same topic, so you also dealt with this area from a scientific point of view.
S: I am researching the role of herbs in developing micro-regions, including teaching, using, producing, maintaining these plants and organising regional developments necessary for enabling its existence. A town, a village, or any kind of micro-region.
Á: Well, I think that this reportage in itself has already had its effect because many of those who had been listening to us told me they were producing garlic palinka for its anti-virus effects.
S: Soit was worth it! It caused some happy moments on the one hand, and on the other, they took my advice seriously, which is even better. But the best thing is that they made and used it.
Á: This virus has addressed you somehow, as you had immediately checked in with some facts to share with us, and since the occurrence of the pandemic, you have dealt with many relevant things. Which are these?
S: The first was designing and producing a special mask, which has reached many people. This is a reusable mask with a filter that can be changed if needed and has 100% efficiency – as much as it is possible. When the spring wave was over, and the autumn wave found me again, the idea of a hand sanitizer was born. It doesn’t harm the skin, has a prolonged protective effect and a pleasant smell. It contains only natural materials; this is in the process right now under the working title “Bioactive” or “Fluid Shield”.
Á: I know you would like to sum up the main lessons of our last discussion.
S: Let’s summarise one more time the main points and the necessary tools by which this process can be handled. The major points are hemodilution, vascular expansion, relieving coughs, preventing over-infections, and treating different side-symptoms, such as headache and others. It is also important what opportunities we have in terms of medicines and natural methods.
Let’s see hemodilution and the prevention of blood clotting. This is crucial because the virus attacks the vein endothelium, and as a result, a thrombus, a blood clot occurs, which is able to cause closures in the capillaries and bigger veins as well. This is why hemodilution is important. We have also mentioned the Aspirin derivatives: these can be bought at the pharmacy. Many types can be found, but drinking two or three mugs of willow sprout or white willow bark tea is also useful. Put one teaspoon of these into a mug, add boiling water to it, but it is even more effective if we cook it without boiling for ten minutes.
Á: So on a low flame.
S: Absolutely, the infusion is more than enough. This is an option for hemodilution and preventing blood clotting. If our symptoms are more serious and have cough or other unpleasant side-symptoms, we can use the “real-deals” by the medicine factories, Cexlane, Fragmin, Fraxiparin. These products are to be injected into the abdominal wall or be taken as pills. In this case, you should pay attention to drinking much while doing hemodilution. This can be tea with lemon, honey or orange, whatever you like, it doesn’t matter. Just drink a lot, disproportionately much, already from the beginning, starting from the occurrence of the symptoms, already on the second or third day.
Á: These medications should be used after consulting our GP, shouldn’t they?
S: The more serious ones, yes. Aspirin doesn’t have to be prescribed, but the other should be. The other topic is vein expansion. In this case, the alternative medical field offers opportunities. The electromagnetic therapy (also known as Bemer bed) is a great example and expands the capillaries very effectively. Certain herbs can also be used here, such as the gingko bilboa (you can either take it in pill format or dip it into hot water and make tea). Or you can use rosemary oil, you can drip it into red wine or tea, but it shouldn’t be overused, one or two drips are just enough. These all expand the veins and at the same time, they decrease the level of blood pressure and can enhance the blood supply of tissues and organs. This is especially important as it is deteriorating due to the infection.
Relieving coughs is also essential because due to the increased pressure in the lungs and the vulnerability of veins, the formation and necrosis of thrombi can also happen. Do not do inhale, and for relieving our cough, feel free to use medicine except for those causing catarrh. Paxirasol is a fairly weak medication, similarly to Libexin, which is a bit more effective and stronger, but it all depends on with what intensity the coughs irritate us. If they are very strong, it is worth using Coderit in a 3×1 dose or if necessary, 3×2, but the doctor will inform you about this anyway. Ambroxol also proves to be very useful in this case.
Over-infection has also been mentioned, which usually occurs on the third or fourth day of viral pneumonia. It is advised to take asitromicin and penicillin already from the beginning; these are all antibiotics. This is not absolutely necessary if you don’t have very severe symptoms, but you should never forget that the vein endothelium is similarly vulnerable.
Á: Even if we do not have symptoms we have to protect our veins because they can get older very quickly.
S: Exactly! As an example, it was able to trigger processes in the body of athletes, people employed at guard services and professional soldiers that became irreversible. Azi Sandoz and Azithromycin contain azithromycin, while Augmentin, Actil and Amoxycin has penicillin. You can take the two versions simultaneously and you can also choose one of them, but probiotics should always be taken together with them: you can find a wide range of it at the pharmacy. Curdled milk and yoghurts have the same effect.
Do not use ibuprofens for healing pain, in this case, it is simply harmful, but you can take the others: Panadol, Algopyrin, Cataflam, Diclofenac, etc.
Á: A number of members of a local sports community have already caught the virus, and now they are quite helpless and don’t know when they can start sports activities again… What do you think about that?
S: If an athlete has a negative test, or ten days have passed since the beginning of the infection and the occurrence of thy symptoms, and he feels well, he has to wait four weeks after the end of the illness or the quarantine. The reason behind that is the tissues have not recovered by then; of course, in a younger body, this can go faster. Tissues have to regain their tones, nutritional status, flexibility and operation. Restart has to be very cautious: start with a 30-minute-long walk with breathing in and out actively. Here, you should focus on big, rhythmic breathing, to strengthen the lungs. This is how you can regain your physical condition. The main point is that the body should have a temporary regeneration opportunity because the virus can cause permanent symptoms, such as cardiac arrhythmia, low pulse numbers for no reason, light-headedness, fatigue, and decreased ability of carrying out activities, pain in the waist, shin, or experiencing pain in the heart.
During the breathing exercises, it is important not to start with a big stretch. When we fill the lung with air, we might close the route of the air at the throat, and then we stretch of press it with the muscles. Instead of this, give the lungs the opportunity to become flexible again and regain its ability to expand. Take a big breath, and keep it in without stifling it; just keep it in with a strong inner effort, so the air’s route is not closed. However, even this can trigger some coughs in some cases. Another exercise when we take a breath similarly, close the route in the throat, and let the upper body “collapse” a bit; the result is a pressing effect at the lung. This is already the active expansion of the lungs and its alveoli. If we practise it for a few times, even for a week, then you can raise your arms in standing position, so that the air route is closed in the throat. After that, get down your arms. The whole upper area of the lung lobes are filled and pressed in this position; this will expand and stretch the lung tissues. A possible complication of more serious viral infections is that the fibrous stock is growing to the detriment of the alveoli. This can be trained and the lungs can regain its biggest possible capacity.
Á: What rules should we keep to in our diet?
S: Chicken soups (or soups containing the meat of any other type of poultry), are especially good in this case because it’s a perfect source of proteins and collagen necessary for the body’s regeneration. The veins and tissues can process them more easily. Less carbohydrates, wheat, sugar and heavier dishes should be consumed, and minimise the amount of dairy products as well.
Á: What alternative treatment methods exist?
S: Drinking lungwort tea has a very good effect, similarly to the infusion or brew of linseed. This is a bit slimy but helps “rebuild” the lung. The kidneys’’ best friend is parsley, raw or in a smoothie, but you can also have an infusion. Cinnamon is also effective as it strengthens and cleans the kidneys, along with horsetail and coriander.
The virus is also able to create a status of low blood supply in the heart area, too, that’s why you have to energise, nourish and warm it up. Brambleberry brewed tea is perfect for its nourishment, while cardamom enhances blood circulation in the heart; it doesn’t matter if it’s green or black. Chew its seed once or twice a day.
We can also stimulate blood production. Grate a raw beetroot (of the size of a tennis ball), add an apple of the same size, grated, mix it, and you can also add extra taste with honey and lemon. Eat it for a whole week. You can put it into the fridge, just like a fresh salad. That’s a type of nourishment that provides nutrients necessary for blood production in a big amount, but it is advised for those suffering from anaemia anyway. At the same time, it is also worth drinking nettle tea two or three times a week; that’s perfectly enough. It initiates a very intense blood production process and helps the recovery and reproduction of veins and capillaries. It creates a new web of veins in the areas we use.
Garlic mixed with alcohol should be among our favourites before, meanwhile and after the infection. It re-vitalises, detoxifies and cleans the body and also makes it flexible. Take a quarter of half a kilogramme of garlic, dip it into alcohol, and after that, you can have a teaspoon of it one, two or three times a day.
Á: How about vitamins?
S: Vitamins C and D can be great tools in regaining our strength, even if we don’t have to take them in three doses and we are officially be regarded as healed. Selenium also helps a lot, just as supplementing trace elements like zinc and others.
