Crescent – Ardha chalasana
This exercise stretches your backbone and detoxifies the body.
Stand straight, stretch your body, and roll your shoulders backwards. Get into the prayer pose with your hands, and clasp your thumbs. Stretch upwards with an inhalation, and then lean backward with while breathing in, gently, until your spine let you do so, and also stretch with your arms and the top of your head. Breathe evenly.
Come back to the centre, get down your arms, and change the finger posture. Put the other thumb on top in the prayer position. Keep your palms closed. Rise your arms with inhalation, and lean and stretch backward while breathing in. The spine and the arms are stretching. The shoulers are rolled back.
Come back to the middle, and get down your arms very slowly. And then stand straight, and breathe in your own rhythm.
